Privacy policy

What we collect when you use this site, who else touches it, and how to get it deleted.

Effective 6 November 2026. GIT Technology is a one-person agency, so this page says exactly what happens to your information — no boilerplate, no clauses about things that do not exist here.

Who we are

GIT Technology ("we", "us") is a web design, branding and search marketing agency in Irvine, California. Our contact details are on the contact page and on every page of this site in the footer. If you would rather not use a form, call 866-803-8324 or email info@gittechnology.com.

What we collect

Only what you give us, plus the ordinary technical facts of a web request:

  • Strategy call form. Name, email, phone, company name, an optional website address and the message you write.
  • Free site audit form. Your email address and the website address you ask us to check.
  • Chat widget. If you use the chat, the questions you ask, and if you submit the lead form: your name, email, phone, company and what you need.
  • Site speed test and PHP check. The address you enter. We run it, and we keep it only if you ask for the report by email.
  • Analytics. Google Analytics 4 records aggregate page views and events on this site. It does not read the contents of the forms on this site. We honour Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track, and the analytics tag does not load at all when either is set.
  • Server logs. Our host records the usual request data — IP address, timestamp, page requested — for security and to keep the site running.

What we do with it

We use it to reply to you, to run the free check you asked for, and to send you that report. If you ask us for a strategy call or a quote, we use it to prepare and to follow up.

We do not sell your information, rent it, or share it for anyone else's advertising. We do not send you a marketing list because you filled in a form.

Who else is involved

  • Netlify hosts this site, serves it, and handles the forms that send us your details.
  • Google Analytics 4 measures aggregate traffic, as described above.
  • Google PageSpeed Insights measures the speed of the website you ask us to check. The address you enter is sent to Google to get that measurement.
  • Our email delivery provider sends you the free site audit report if you ask for it by email.
  • Search and AI crawlers read this site's public pages in the same way they read every page on the internet. That is not personal information.

The chat widget answers from this site's own content and does not pass your questions to an AI provider.

How long we keep it

Enquiries we turn into work are kept for as long as the client relationship lasts and the records we are required to keep. Everything else — a form you filled in and we did not reply to, or a report we sent and you never came back to — is deleted within twelve months.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also opt out of the marketing email we send after a free report by replying to it, and every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link.

Email info@gittechnology.com and we will action it. We are based in California, so we follow the CCPA and the CPRA. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in those laws, so we do not offer a "Do Not Sell or Share" link — there is nothing to opt out of.

A note on what you paste

Some forms ask for a website address. If that address points at a staging site, a client login or an internal tool, it is more than you meant to send. Please leave out anything confidential, and if you are not sure, call us instead of pasting it.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. The version that applied when you sent us something is the one we will honour for it.
